However, when it was described as "antique," I expected it to have a matte finish on a parchment-style paper. It appears that way from the picture. But this map is glossy and looks like one you'd find in a classroom. So if that's what you're looking for then it may work well for you. If you are looking for something more antique-looking for decorating in the home, this is not the map for you.
