The bed arrived in two boxes which are heavy and need 2 people to lift and carry. One corner of the larger box was damaged in shipping, but the styrofoam inside kept the wood from being damaged. The finish on the wood was even and smooth and looks very nice. The directions left quite a bit to be desired. We've put together many desks and closet organizers and are used to having to interpret assembly directions, but these were exceptionally difficult. The directions labeled the different parts, but there were no labeling stickers on the wood pieces or the hardware. This became particularly aggravating when trying to attach the drawer rails because one of the pictures was actually upside down from what you were supposed to use. One box was damaged at one end and when we opened it the piece that goes to the bottom of the bed was broken. The instruction asks to call the manufactures to receive the replacement parts instead of Amazon, since Amazon does not carry parts. The manufacturer has the worst customer service. Every time we have to be on hold for at least 40-60 minutes. It has passed the processing time that we were given and still no estimated time of when the replacement part will be shipped. They have this in stock but the service is so poor that they do not take the time to ship it. This is just the obvious problem we have seen so far. We do not know yet if the cam locks will be a problem. We are thinking about returning this bed and purchasing something else. We tried putting it together and all the cam locks were falling out. The bed just kept falling apart. We called the company for help and they were no help at all and said that we should turn the cam lock the other way. Totally not worth the aggravation. We sent it back to Amazon and purchased another bed elsewhere. |
